WaterSound is made up of three distinct communities: WaterSound Beach, WaterSound West Beach, and WaterSound North.
The 256-acre WaterSound Beach was the first to be founded along the protected, and thus unspoiled, tall, sugar-sand dunes along the Gulf of Mexico. WaterSound Beach homes and condos combine the architectural vernacular and graciousness of the South with that of New England coastal homes, with winding boardwalks leading to the emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The ~2000 acres of Deer Lake State Park lie between WaterSound Beach and WaterSound West Beach, both of which are gated neighborhoods on the south side of 30A. WaterSound West Beach offers intimate homes that are on a more modest scale that WaterSound Beach, but certainly still of the finest quality. There is an elevated private boardwalk which leads WaterSound West Beach residents to their beach on the Gulf of Mexico. WaterSound North, which some people refer to as simply WaterSound, is ~1,500 acres north of Hwy. 98, near Rosemary Beach. WaterSound North borders the Intracoastal Waterway, and Lake Powell, the area’s largest coastal dune lake. The Origins golf course is located at WaterSound North. As you might imagine, the amenities afforded WaterSound residents are numerous. In additions to the parks, fitness centers, swimming pools, and walking trails, memberships might be purchased to the WaterSound Beach Club, the Camp Creek Golf Club, and Wild Heron Golf Club.
